As part of the rejuvenation of Kings Lynn, this was a collaborative project with the West Norfolk County Council and the Kings Lynn Arts Centre. My job was to design and produce signs and seating for a new playground being built.

Welcome Arch - Central Sign
The wooden arch is decorated with signs informing the playground rules. Ideas for these were inspired by an art workshop I held with children from a local primary school. The nautical rope adds to the theme.
Welcome Arch - Front Left
Here you can see the signs 'No jumping off high things' and 'No dogs in this area please'.
Welcome Arch - Front
View through arch into playground.
Front Right Section
Here you can see the signs 'Dont talk to strangers' and 'No bullying or name-calling (be kind to each other)'.
Welcome Arch - Back View
The pathway through the arch leads you into the playround.
Welcome Arch - Back Left
Here you can see the signs 'No graffiti - (or else)', 'No spitting swearing or pulling hair', 'Always wait your turn' and 'Please use the bins for rubbish'.
Boat Seat 1- 'Phoenix'
One of a pair of reclaimed Tahitian boats brough back to life as fun playground seating. Local school children helped with the naming of the 'boats'.
Boat Seat 2 - 'Jaws'
Once a Tahitian boat, then a cabinet, this reclaimed item is now on its third life amongst the other brightly coloured, nautical themed play equipment!
Boat Seat 3 - 'Tranquility'
A boat-shaped arbour with nautical-themed portholes for curious children to explore.

Driftwood Seat
This beautiful piece of driftwood made an ideal seat to accompany the nautical theme.
