Inking the Lino

Firstly, I roll out a very fine layer of oil-based relief-printing ink onto a sheet of glass, just enough so that the roller ‘hisses’ as it glides over the surface. Then I apply the ink to the lino printing block with the roller, ensuring a light, even application.
