Working With Lino - Inking The Lino

The first part of applying the ink to the lino involves a sheet of glass. I apply a very fine layer of oil based relief printing ink to the glass, just enough so that the roller ‘hisses’ as it glides over the surface. Next I apply the ink to the lino printing block with the roller, ensuring a good even application.
